Rental terms & conditions

Plain-language summary of how renting with JOCAR works. The signed rental agreement prevails.

1. Driver requirements

  • Minimum age 21.
  • Driving licence held for at least 2 years; an International Driving Permit is required for licences not in Latin script.
  • Passport or national ID must be presented at hand-over.

2. Booking & payment

  • Requests are confirmed by JOCAR via WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • Payment for the rental period is due at hand-over in cash (USD, EUR, GEL), by card, bank transfer or cryptocurrency.
  • A refundable security deposit is paid at hand-over and returned after the car is returned in the agreed condition.
  • Displayed prices are in USD; other currencies are approximate conversions for convenience.

3. Insurance & liability

  • All cars are covered by comprehensive insurance.
  • The renter's liability for damage is limited to the deposit, provided the agreement is respected.
  • The insurance does not cover damage caused by intoxicated driving, off-road use of non-off-road vehicles, racing, gross negligence or use by unauthorised drivers.
  • Interior damage, lost keys and documents, and wheel/tyre damage are charged at cost.

4. Mileage & fuel

  • The included mileage is 200 km per day unless a different package is chosen.
  • Kilometres above the allowance are charged at the rate shown on the car page.
  • Cars are handed over with a full tank / full charge and must be returned the same way.

5. Delivery, pick-up & return

  • Delivery and collection are extra services: airport meet & greet at a fixed price, addresses in Tbilisi and other cities are quoted individually.
  • A rental day is 24 hours. Returns later than 1 hour after the agreed time are charged as an additional day.
  • Cross-border trips require prior written approval and additional insurance.

6. Fines & incidents

  • Traffic fines, parking penalties and toll fees incurred during the rental are the renter's responsibility.
  • In case of an accident, contact JOCAR immediately and call the police (112) to obtain an official report.
  • Roadside assistance is available 24/7.
